End User License Agreement
Effective date: January 3, 2026
This End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement between you and BlurAway. This EULA governs your installation and use of the BlurAway macOS application (the App) and any related updates, upgrades, patches, and documentation (collectively, the Software).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
This document is provided for general informational purposes and is not legal advice.
1. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA and the Terms of Service, BlurAway grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on Apple branded devices you own or control, solely for your personal use or internal business use.
2. License model and device limit
2.1 Account based licensing
Your license is tied to your BlurAway account. Access and activation are managed through your account. Account access and plan rules are described in the Terms of Service.
2.2 Two device concurrent limit
Your license may be active on up to two devices at the same time.
2.3 Device management
You may manage active devices from your account. If you reach the two device limit, you may deactivate an active device in your account and then activate a different device. We may apply reasonable security checks to prevent abuse.
2.4 No transfer
Your license cannot be assigned, sold, gifted, sublicensed, rented, leased, or transferred to any other person.
3. Permitted use
You may use the Software only as intended, for lawful purposes, and in accordance with documentation we provide.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Software except where permitted by law
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except where prohibited by law
- Circumvent license, authentication, or security features
- Use the Software to violate the rights of others
- Use the Software in connection with unlawful surveillance or to harm others
5. Updates and changes
We may provide updates, upgrades, or patches. The Software may change over time, and features may be added, modified, or removed.
6. Support
We may provide support at our discretion. We do not guarantee response times or outcomes. Support contact: hello@bluraway.co.
7. Privacy and device permissions
7.1 Account and purchases
Your use of the Software may require an account on our website. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information related to website accounts and purchases.
7.2 Camera access and on device processing
The Software may require camera access to detect whether an authorized user is present. Processing is designed to occur on your device. By default, the Software is not intended to transmit camera imagery to us.
7.3 Local settings and enrollment data
The Software may store settings and enrollment data locally on your device so the Software can function. You control your device and operating system permissions, and you can disable camera access through your system settings.
8. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. BlurAway and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software and all intellectual property rights.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as available" and "as is." BlurAway disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- BlurAway will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
- BlurAway's total liability arising out of or relating to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate this EULA or the Terms of Service. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete it from your devices.
12. Export controls
You agree to comply with applicable export control laws and regulations.
13. Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws specified in the Terms of Service, except to the extent consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
